JLP 8000 Last, UK6.5 fits like glove, similar fitting like C&J 337 Weymouth UK7E

Hence I felt Rain/Detroit 7 will fit me. For Simpson, let's see how they break in as without socks they are fine

Hi, please help.

I'm wearing a Church's Houston Chelsea boot in UK6.5G and fit a C&J 337 in UK6.5. Which size do you recommend me in an oxford Simpson last?

Many thanks!

For me Simpson is always super uncomfortable to break-in - once that is done, they mold to the shape of my feet. A close but not tight fit. In the beginning I usually wear them around the house for a bit and then put in shoe trees with socks wrapped around them to stretch them a bit.

I tried sizing up before but the heel didn't fit me. Will try again in the future and report back.

Exactly my case. Just tried 7.5 Simpson Oxford and the heel is too lose. Staffs told I should wear Rain 7, but then I ordered Detroit 7 for shell long wing.

Thanks I will try stretching it with your method.

Please let us know how that works for you.

Also worth noting is that individual pairs by Carmina created on the same last seem to be quite different. I've tried different pairs on Rain and they all fit differently eventhough most of them were some kind of captoe oxfords.

Would people recommend sizing down half on a forest last loafer (suede) compared to a forest last oxford (calf)?

I am UK9 in Loake Capital and Carmina Rain.

I have UK 9 in Simpson and is a bad fit (instep) even though it felt fine when i tried it in store.

Rain is narrower than Capital.  I am 8 in Rain, but between 7.5 & 8 in Capital.

Simpson? I don't go there.
