I'm debating between these 2 pairs: JL St Crepin double monk Misty Brown vs. Saint Crispin Double Monks in brown

They both fit great and priced similarly. I tried searching in the forum but can't find anyone with direct comparison.

What do you guys think? Anyone with experience in both?

I'm looking to use these for work and occasionallyl wear them casually with jeans as well.

Thanks

I love my Saint Crispin double monks. I don't own the JL Crepin but I do have the JL Vale. In term of fit, finish and construction I much prefer the Saint Crispin to John Lobb. I like the fit and construction of Saint Crispins so much I think most of my future shoe commissions will be from them.

The image of the SC posted by Pliny on the bottom right are my shoes. It's a very versatile shoes, I do wear them occasionally with jeans and odd jacket.

I prefer the JL St. Crepin db, but I'm biased. I have the misty brown and enjoy them a lot.

I find the fit, construction and finishing of StC superior to JL. I've got the StC double monks myself and plan to order another pair.

I'm glad that when faced with question like this, my answer is typically just to get both.

St Crispin's. Everyone know Lobbs suck. See how many are being offloaded on eBay.
