getting rid of acne scars. what to use? - Page 2

I've tried lasers, peels and fillers. The one that works best is something called needling. You need an aesthetician to do it. Basically, they use a dry tattoo needle to attack each scar individually to agitate the scar tissue and yes...it is painful. This forces the skin to recover and plump up the scar, thus reducing the appearance of the scar. Recovery takes 3-4 days and is assisted by the use of a silicone ointment. IMO, it's superior to all other treaments because it zeroes in on each scar.

Because of the nature of the treatment, it's necessary for a six month break between treatments. I've had 6 treatments done so far and the appearance of scars has diminished significantly - so much that most of them look more like freckles now.

This is serious! I would stay away from over the counter products, cosmetics, spas, beauticians, aestheticians etc.... My advice: Go to a dermatologist or plastic surgeon!

Interesting. Does it scab over after a treatment?
