Hi,
I'm in need of a tuxedo for an upcoming graduation, followed by a wedding a few months later. Where I live, the menswear options are considerably lacking (save for Four Horsemen and Outlooks, although Four Horseman doesn't carry formal-wear, and Outlooks doesn't carry anything black-tie), especially for all things black-tie related. Further compounding this issue is my jacket size - 36R - and my 6 foot tall, 150 lb frame (finding a 36R jacket in the only department store we have in my city, The Bay, is more or less impossible outside of a few JNY sport-coats), in addition, my budget maxes out at $1000 CAD including shipping, taxes, and duties.
In short: I need a tuxedo less than $1000, available in 36R jacket sizes, and obviously slim-fitting, considering my approximate 6 foot tall, 150 lb frame. I need the tuxedo before May.
What I'm currently considering is JCrew's shawl-collar tuxedo: http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/suiting/blacktie/PRDOVR~50676/50676.jsp however, after reading various threads throughout Style Forum, the roughly $900 for the JCrew tuxedo seems to be extremely overpriced for the quality of the garment.
Anyway, this is my first post here after 'lurking' for a long while, so apologies in advance for anything I have missed or have failed to do. All help is much appreciated. I'm also more than willing to answer any questions or add/elaborate on anything I've already said.
Thanks
