Well keep in mind that Apple promises 10 hours on Wi-Fi and 9 if you use LTE. Having it last a little less then a "day" sounds about right and fully in line with what should be one's expectations. It really depends on how heavy you use it and your brightness settings. It would be nice if they lasted forever, but compared to your average laptop, iPad's have fantastic battery life.


I like it a lot and am considering buying a stylus to play around with it. Still have not bought any additional brushes.


I wouldn't spend that much on an iPad sleeve, but it would make much more sense to do so then a portfolio style case that won't fit future models. It's an investment that would last.

EDIT: I love Kickstarter, but would be hesitant to put that much money down on a product that has yet to be tested and reviewed.

You get all the advantages that the iPad has over a laptop and you get the option of using this nice keyboard when you want to.

To be fair, this keyboard costs a $150 minimum pledge with Kickstarter. If you want the stereo speakers it is closer to a $180 minimum. Depending on which model iPad you buy, the extra cost of a keyboard attachment like this can make it quickly approach the $999 buy in for a basic Macbook Air.

These arguments always feel off to me. An iPad is not a laptop and a laptop is not an iPad. They have different, unique, uses. No reason a consumer can't enjoy and use both if they have the cash to spend.
