www.thetiebar.com - $15 thick silk ties.

I own ties from Drakes, Tom Ford, Marinella, etc etc, and the TieBar ties have a knot and dimple with the best of them.

It's a Zegna (grey with salmon stripes).

TaxGenius, it's usually safe to pick a tie that complements the minor color of the suit.  Of course, it also depends on what color shirt you wear and what pattern (if any) is on the shirt.

I own about 10 ties, but don't really love any of them. Would be nice to have 3 or 4 that are awesome. I've done a little research (i.e. here and here) but remain relatively clueless. My budget is loosely defined, maybe up to $300 for new ties, but I buy most of my clothes on eBay to get a good value on expensive/quality items.
So, what I'm asking:
Links to specific ties that you think will work
Brands that you think I should keep an eye out for based on budget description
(most of my ties at the moment are BB)
Muchos gracias!

Hey dude

You look light a pretty slim guy, so you might want to look at slightly slimmer than standard (3.5") ties. If so, I heartily recommend looking for Lands End and J Crew ties on eBay. Both are fantastic value and do lots of staple soporifics.

Obviously watch the B&S too. Many great deals there.

B&S for sure. Lots of well priced ties from the thrift store contingent here who find nice ties that don't fit in their collection, as well as guys looking to pare down theirs. Or guys like Spoo who find them in their couch and don't know what to do with them.
