If your a salesman 40 P&C policies should be done half way through the month. I sell that in Abilene in the middle of butt fuck no where. Its the law of averages you and your team run 1000 quotes half are going to say no, so you're left with 500, half of those are going to say maybe.... so then 125- 250 half of those will purchase or at least set a date to purchase depending on your close ratio..... Its called a fucking sales funnel if you don't know how it works stay the fuck away from the industry for the rest of us.... unless you want us buying you book for pennies on the dollar or given away for free... so if you just do the numbers and are not a pussy you shouldn't have any problems
So what kind of commission (percentage and actual dollars) can you and your team expect per month per policy?

So to make $100k/yr, I just need to send quotes to 1000 people/month?  I'm in the wrong line of work.

Would you like to buy a Sheffield Kitchen?

I think that's for your "team" to make $100k/yr. You would get to divide that amongst the 14 of you.

It's a no-lose proposition.

Does this hold linearly?  I'll just have my team of 14 make 1.4M calls a month, and we'll all be rich.

No doubt. I have a team of 850 and we average about 650 million calls per month. Last month was so good I was almost (ALMOST!) able to move out of my parents' basement.

Hold on. I'm almost done taking my 15 minute break weeping in a stall in the bathroom.

Jonathon Pryce's character was a closeted-homosexual being seduced by Al Pacino. Seriously, re-watch it and it's clear as day.

I haven't watched Glengarry Glen Ross since it first came out. I really need to revisit it.
