Best Dressed at Oscars? - Page 4

Tom Hanks nailed it. If the button stance was a bit better positioned not sure when it could ever be topped at the Oscars. Makes me feel even better about my DB shawl collar tux I just finalized today in an order.

I have to be honest: when I first clicked on this thread I simply said "these guys have got to be shitting me". I mean come on, a thread about men here commenting on the best dressed at the oscars?

The dive watch is very James Bond. They got a pretty good shot of it early and I'm pretty sure it's a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

I'm not so sure vents are prohibited when donning the double breasted shawl

^ Not particularly into the turnback cuffs that almost flair out a bit...that can be forgiven though.

I think the sleeves are actually quite well done... here's Daniel Craig doing the same... (from blacktieguide):

Nope, it's a JLC, either AMVOX or MEMOVOX.

Also, Hanks' jacket having vents is a bit more forgivable given that it's a DB and supposed to remain closed even when seated.

beckham looked good. a bit messy, which added to the charm, imo.

It's a JLC Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea... look carefully at the bezel.

Anyway, what this thread proves is that midnight blue certainly does not look 'blacker than black' under artificial lighting. Always thought that theory was full of shit anyway.

Does Hanks have a waistcoat under his DJ?

A lot of turkey triangles were on display too - looks like the cummerbund has gone the way of the dodo!
