true, good shoes are suppose to last that long. i was talking to my doctor the other day and he said he would be surprised if any shoe lasts 10 years, i promptly proved him wrong and corrected him by pointing that my shoes will last even longer than that. as long as you polish them regularly and the leather will stay nourished and well fed like a healthy young baby and will grow up to be a strong young adult.

Does this mean if I polish and nourish my healthy young baby Allen Edmonds shoes, that they will one day grow into strong young Aldens?

Good effort Iroh, I'd give you 9/10 for not looking poor. You'd need to use gold or silver spray paint to get the full 10 points and to remove any doubt of looking poor though.
