Public universities should admit people with a higher emphasis on a standardized test score, aka the SAT's.

The UC system in California does something like SAT score + your 2 SAT II scores = max of 4000, + gpa x 1000 + a shit ton of random points. then universities cutoff people based on their points. The problem is things like death in immediate family adds like 500 points or low income or single parent etc.

those extra points end up adding a shit ton of points + grade inflation, the SAT have a lowered impact on admissions.

I think having 1 standardized test for everyone is the most fair way. Keep people who would otherwise occupy and waste resources out to begin with.
