I'm trying to respond to Patrizio's mails but I'm getting

"Delivery Status Notification (Failure)
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

patriziocappelli@libero.it"

Anyone else experiencing this? I don't think my emails are getting to him.

All questions should go to Patrizio of course, but it's nice to have had some input on the fabrics.

Some nice madders are coming in, apparently, in a couple of weeks. If I get pics, I'll post as well.

These are "Drake's" silk. The right is exactly as Drake's had it but I'm finding the sky blue a bit brighter in Patrizio's version of left. I'm getting it, but it will be a S/S tie instead of F/W.

There's a lot to like here.

Thanks, Cleav. I've been trying to get in touch with him the last 18hs. I tried to email him from another address last night. Hopefully he will get one of those several emails.

EDIT: He answered. Apparently, my mail was marked as spam for some reason. Anyways, the aforementioned silk ties are ordered smile.gif

Managed to snag the last one of these. Thanks @_AMD for asking about it (Patrizio is now referring to these as "A's challis" though there is no more fabric on hand, I believe...but you can check). @cezinho 's pic here convinced me of the tie's greatness (@Pliny too).

I'm glad it worked out for you. I was pushed over the edge by the same posters as yourself, apparently. I ended up with that one and two other colorways (one for my son). Funny about the new label on the challis.

If it's the same silk as Drake's, then what advantage is there by ordering through Patrizio? Does he use better lining?

Asking since both Drake's and PC have good reputations.

Ability to customize the tie, essentially. I believe Drake's are also fixed a 3.25", which is going to be to narrow for quite a few folks...

And PC is one of the best tie makers and a true gentleman. And it's still cheaper through him, I believe.

Yup customization at all levels. We're talking bespoke here and at the exchange rate it will cost you no more than the Drakes version on sale. Plus Cappelli is a smaller operation and artisan so worth supporting. If you don't care about customization, you can also support Steve at gentlemansfootwear by buying the ties there.

Why does the work day always take so long when the FedEx tracking says "DELIVERED"?

Now is the time to do the group order for free shipping!

A few new brown ties were delivered today.

I'm in Europe, so my decision goes like this:

Printed silk ties from Drake's: 125 GBP = 161 €

Printed silk ties from Cappelli: 80 €

Hmm...
