Grenadine grossa B5, 3-fold, self-tipped, light lining, 3.5" x 58" but with the front blade tapering slightly less than Patrizio's pattern.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

There is no way that I believe that you ordered a tie this way from Patrizio. Nice selection, by the way.

:D I'm 'Murican, I can't/won't do conversion to metric on the fly. (9cm x 148cm, for the record.)

These are both excellent

Hi,

A great selection; wear them in good health!

May we have code numbers (as in EGC site) and construction details? It would be really informative for all of us.

Thank you in advance

The two madders and the two challis ties are not on the website, they were chosen from pictures Patrizio sent to me. The solid navy ties is A6, the next twill is ZZZD1, and the green tie is ZZZN8. All are three fold, unlined, and I think 3.5 or 3.25 inches, I can't remember the width off hand.

@coolpapa

Do you mind posting a picture of the madders that Patrizio sent you? There's much that isn't on the website, and I like the blue very much.

He mentioned to me that he is getting a bunch of new madders in with the fabrics we polled above. I'll post those pics if and when I get them.

I'll always second a request to post more of Patrizio's offerings.

Some of you are likely to have received this if you've been in recent contact with Patrizio but here are the new challis (the last set are the Drake's silk, the blue which came out brighter than I had expected so feels more Spring than fall...still good).

All questions should go to Patrizio of course, but it's nice to have had some input on the fabrics.

Some nice madders are coming in, apparently, in a couple of weeks. If I get pics, I'll post as well.

These are "Drake's" silk. The right is exactly as Drake's had it but I'm finding the sky blue a bit brighter in Patrizio's version of left. I'm getting it, but it will be a S/S tie instead of F/W.

Dear @TweedyProf Hi,

Not really fond of madders, but congrats for sharing; you are such a gent!

On another note, has any gentleman here made Grenadine Fina in Purple (Code number: A6) and/or Grossa in Purple as well (Code number: B6)? Could you share photos, opinion and few construction details (width, folds, lining, etc)? I would appreciate it.

Thank you in advance

Dimitris

You beat me to it, Tweedy. I'm very excited about the silk versions. Here they are taken from another site.

Damn.  I need more ties like I need more holes in my head, but some of those are beautiful.

@DonRaphael

Yes, some of the differences might be photography. I think the green will really be great as a "faux-madder" and the left a nice transitional tie into Spring and at the end of the summer. I'm interested to see how muted or not the sky blue is (it's more muted on the site you are posting pics from).

@heldentenor

While Cappelli's are not cheap, I think one should have a few and at the current exchange rate, it's about 90 dollars for tipped ties (one might have to pay duties though, about 7-12% I've found). For a bespoke tie of great quality, that is a high value ratio especially when you consider Drake's RTW on sale are are often more than that.
