Does anyone own the 19cm oil drop jeans available on luisaviaroma? I've been looking for a pair of jeans with a waxed look and I really like the way Dior's fit in other peoples pictures. Here's a link to the pair I'm looking at:

Good to know. 19cm mij raws was at the top of my kop list this season but 17.5cm sounds even better.

The SA said early summer, probably June. Not sure if I mentioned, but he said they'll have the raw indigos and noir in that cut. Both MIJ.

also any new selvedge models?

I tried out a pair of 19cm raws in size 28, and they were a little too slim in the leg for me (although the waist was fine). Is it safe to assume that the 17.5cm model in size 29 would present the same problem?

How much did you size down?  My Diors are true to size and I would not like the fit at all if they were any smaller.  I think the 'size down two' thing came from really tiny guys over on sufu.

Sounds like the 19cm should fit well once they stretch in the thigh. 17.5cm cut probably isn't for you.

I would actually suggest going TTS for the 17.5cm model, while sizing 1 or 2 for the 19cm. Black MIJ fits smaller than indigo MIJ though. Also, they did not release the silver selvedge this year. It might be Japan exclusive at this point. I bought another pair two years ago in Japan.

Jeans don't really stretch in the thigh man.  My APCs which are like the stretchiest things on earth haven't budged in the thigh since I've owned them.

Except most people here and from sufu say the opposite about raws from both brands. Mine definitely stretched in the thigh.

It obviously depends on how tight they are to begin with.

I think the 'jeans will stretch in the thigh' thing is often recited, but people always buy them too tight expecting to stretch and then they don't.  Mine are visually 'looser' in the thigh than when I got them, but it's because I started wearing them lower as the waist stretched out.  I've never had a pair of jeans really stretch in the thigh, just the waist and sometimes the knee.  Also NWI's jeans were silly tight in the picture, he maybe could size down one since he's pretty skinny but two was definitely too much.

That said, NWI I think you should look for a pair in the right size since the cut is probably really suited to you.

Rad, thanks for the input. And yeah, I sized down two on the 19cm, which was too much for me. Sounds like I'd want 17.5cm in a 30, if I can even wear the 17.5cm cut.

Agreed that thighs don't stretch that much on jeans. The jeans just ride lower as the waist stretches, which creates more room in the thighs.

notwithit i actually think a 28 is perfect for you once they stretch out.. how long did you wears yours until deciding that they were not right?
when i had a 31" real waist.. the size 29 was a perfect for me. they measured almost 32" in waist once stretched
heres a fit pic

but sizing down 2-3 is only good on slimmer guys though...

Looks awesome pikachoo! I'm another one that sized down one for my MIJ raws (19cm cut). I'll want to size down 1 for the 17.5cm raws, because I feel I should size down for raw denim, but I bet it won't work because my calves will be too large or something like that. I'm skeptical.

About 5 minutes. I think the previous owner had worn them a few times, though. I'm sure the waist would've stretched further, but I'd have to sag them really, really low (they were already riding below my hip bones) in order to get enough room in the thighs.

Also, nice fit. Those look great.
