Panta wool ties - why are they no longer unlined?

(I could not find a "Panta affiliate thread", so I'm asking here).

The initial batches of the Panta wool ties were unlined, and I though that they were awesome (I've been waiting for a good source of unlines 6 folds for a long time). However, all ties from the current selection are described as lined. Was there a major shift in aesthetic and I didn't get the memo, foo.gif?

In any case, I would grealy appreciate info on alternative source of unlined ties. Thanks a lot.

You won't be disappointed. Sam Hober can also make you an unlined tie in whatever fabric you want.

Thanks, looks good.
I also got a detailed PM from edmorel with lots of useful info (incl. that some unlined options may be available).
Btw. their standard ties are great, no complaints there, and I certainly wouldn't advocate ditching them; unlined is just a nice niche that has its uses

In terms of the stuff, its taken a lot longer than I was expecting but we changed pantmakers and there's been a lot of back and forth, been meeting/ordering from new fabric mills etc etc. The good news is that the pants will be ready in about two weeks. About 6-8 fabrics. The construction is higher quality than the previous models, handstitched buttonholes, handstitched waistband, very clean/tight stitching throughout, great horn buttons etc. (unfortunately, the price will also go up by about $100)

Also have sportcoats coming at the same time, full canvass, handmade buttonholes among other things, lightweight construction, quarter lined and soft shoulders, but still a clean, unsloppy sleevehead. Assuming there is interest, will also have suits and overcoats down the road

Will also have shirts, fabrics will be 160's/170/s two ply Riva/Sic Tess/Rubinelli. Shirts will have beautiful MOP buttons, hand stitched collars and gussets (forgot what else is handstitched blush.gif ). A BD collar modeled after the old school BB collars (long points, great roll) so that you can have an elegant BD collar shirt that you can wear with suits and ties (breath gdl, breath...), and a very nice semi spread.

Lastly, will have great ties, lots of great prints and raw silks and cashmeres/wools and for those of you that like the feels of the silk/wool Irish Poplin ties, we are doing a gorgeous escorial wool/silk fabric that feels heavenly in a beautiful neat pattern, in two colorways.

All will be available in a few weeks, the plan is to introduce everything at our trunk show, which is tentatively scheduled for Saturday March 17th. There are a few people in line for the pants so I will get to them before the trunk show. What is left after the show will go on the website, will probably offer some of the ties here before the website though.

I think there will be shoes too eventually, but I've lost track.

Do you plan to have any non-hand stitched pants at lower price points?

Damn Ed, this looks fantastic. Those shoulders look great. Any chance of a MTM service?

Also, I wish Panta would offer more navy ties. Goddamm Ed's hatred of navy.
