Slim fitting chinos suitable for business casual settings?

Thread Starter

Looking for slim fitting chinos suitable for a business casual environment. I don't really like the fit of Brooks Brothers Milano and Dockers Alpha is too casual.

I prefer BB Milanos (what's wrong with the fit?), Incotex (slim, low rise), and/or Bonobos (this brand isn't that well liked on these forums, but has a good fit --- quality is just decent though).

I'm curious about this, too. What about the milano fit don't you like? Just curious.

love my bb milanos, although I'd admit I wouldn't mind a bit more rise.

The rise is low on the milanos, and the fly is almost unusable it's so small. They also do weird things to my hips, specifically making them look prepared for birthing.

wear them below the waist

that can have a tendency to look goofy with a sportcoat

ok, and I'm telling you that this doesn't look real good with a sportcoat.

then don't attempt to wear slim fit pants

I wear the JCrew Bowery in classic fit, just size down for a slimmer fit and let the waist out if need be. You may also want to look at the Epaulet Walt trousers, almost the same fit as JCrew's classic fit but with a slightly narrower thigh.

But he asked only for a slim fit, not necessarily a low rise. Unless I missed it

I am a real skinny guy, and I don't find my BB Milanos especially slim. I prefer cut on my Gap Tailored Slim Fit chinos. The rise isn't much higher though.

So, I suppose no one makes slim chinos that sit on the natural waist. Is this just a matter of fashion, or is the kind of proportion that can never look good? :serious questions:

Bill's Khakis M3 fit. I also wear J Crew's normal fit khakis but I believe they have a slimmer fit option as well.

Mabitex Cotton Trousers/Chinos (Good luck finding them anymore. Try Daffy's if they have any stock left).

Incotex

J Crew Chinos in 484 Slim Fit or Urban Slim Fit
