What should I do? Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi all, I have a little bit of a dilemma deciding where/how I should spend my summer, so it would be greatly appreciated if you would share your opinion.

So to put this into context, I'm a first year university student that moved to a brand new city (Toronto) from Vancouver. Now exams end by late April and I'm trying to decide whether I should:

1.) Remain in Toronto to take summer courses and also work in a part-time job
or
2.) Go back to Vancouver just for the summer and do the same thing (summer courses + part-time job).

The advantages I see of remaining in Toronto is to get to know the place and also more importantly get to know more people. It's almost been five months since I started studying at the University of Toronto, and I have only made one close friend and a few acquaintances. I know that staying in Toronto will definitely not be as fun as going back to Vancouver for the break, as I have lived in Vancouver for much longer and have many friends. However, I feel like I should stay in Toronto just for the sake of meeting more people; after all, I will be studying here for four years in total. I admit that I do start to grow lonely at times frown.gif. Another thing to keep in mind is that I'm naturally not too good at meeting people, so I don't know how much staying in Toronto would help if at all.

I know this probably sounds like a trivial issue, but I honestly cannot decide and I think opinions would significantly contribute to my decision.

Thanks smile.gif
