What to wear on a night out?

On a night out. do you guys usually go with a casual smart shirt or a polo?

I am thinking of just getting a few Penguin polos with a jumper (which matches the collar colour).

I wear shirts to go out, no sweaters or jumpers., this is because you can wash your shirt but wool jumpers are cumbersome to wash

I only wear polo during very hot summer day time, never night time

What a stupid post. One should wear what is appropriate for the occasion which might vary from a tee shirt to evening dress.

Ok, what I meant to say is a normal night out at a nightclub. Let's suppose it is a student night.

Most dudes will probably be dressed in some kind of sheeny or patterned dress shirt in some dark or bold colors and some dark slacks. Obviously there's a lot of room for improvement over that, but I don't think a polo qualifies.
