They definitely have an Italian feel (vs English or American gunboats).  I will say that the sole of my TBNY wingtips seems to be more durable than equivalent AEs.  Maybe I just got lucky with a good batch...

I just posted a similar thread, as I didn't see this one. Looking for a black cap toe shoe, like the fifth ave, which is too narrow up front, even in width e, for my feet. thanks.

Try Alden. If you're in NYC, try Peal at Brooks Bros. (the black captoe is Crockett & Jones).
