I have the same problem, I have some big ticket jeans but then I take way too many $50-$100 flyers on jeans(usually via ebay or sales) that get minimal to no wear either because usually because I gamble on sizing or cut.

Surprisingly enough, I have very few jeans in my collection that don't get wear, and those that do are usually fairly old and get sold shortly thereafter. I've been pretty fond of my Club Monaco 1 wash, and they've actually gotten a couple hours of wear in the last week. They're more or less the only low-rise slimmer dark bootcut I have left that doesn't use stretch denim.

Great plan. I was buying discount jeans from $15-$30, a couple for $55, and then I got myself a pair at $188 (down from $375) that are the best jeans for me I've found so far and I stopped buying. I think buying one or two things at the high end where you didn't compromise in any way probably saves money in the long run.

As well as the denim I find myself thinking - now whats a great belt to wear with these Canes? maybe I need some new boots that go well them too? - before you know it i'm another £300 down. All cos of this damn denim addiction! Sheeesh, maybe I should get a coke habit.

Not buying jeans is the new buying jeans.

In 2005 I bought APC Anglaise--$120.

In 2006 I bought Nudie RR--$120.

In 2007... I dunno but it'll probably be more than $120.
