Going back into Mexico next to see the rest of that. Then into Guatemala, El Salvador (just for a few days probably), Costa Rica, and Panama. Might head back to Utila to do some more dive training as well. We'll see on that one though.

Stay out of Guatemala City.

Indeed. It does not get the best of reviews. Neither did Tegucialpa, but I was dumb enough to get stranded there for 2 days.

You did Tikal?  Try Antigua for the colonial vibe. Or Panajachel for the lake.

Neither are really lone wolf territory though.

I did. I cut through from San Ignacio, Belize (its right near the border). I figured it was easier while I was close by and the woman I was banging was going, so there you go. Stayed in Flores for two nights then crossed back into Belize.

Samok Champay is the only place that I've heard of that's never gotten a bad review. Antigua, Shela, and San Pedro were also highly rated by other backpackers.

Everything is lone wolf territory for me. I just meetup with people on busses, or in the hostels.

You saw the view of the ruins where Lucas shot? That was cool.

I liked Antigua a lot. Go there for a few days.

I'm waiting for Nicaragua pics. Word was on the news down here that there was an explosion and yet no lava was visible. What gives?

Functionally, this is correct. My methods were a bit different.

That's odd. Down here we heard nothing but tales of a brown eruption.
