The (Un)Official Thrift Buy /Sell / Trade / Want Thread - Page 10

post #136 of 2093

Gauging interest:

I have and am losing weight - I am looking to trade  5  2 pair of 38/32, w/cuff, trousers for some amount of trousers in a 36 waist that could be tailored to 32 with a cuff.

Nothing stunning, or even terribly nice here, but they all wear:

TRADED Odd but subtle organic pattern, Ballin (works out to a tan/taupe)(ca. 2000);

TRADED Charcoal Flannel, RL Blue label (probably the nicest of the bunch);

Still Available Tan, Gab, MW brand;

Still Available Olive pinstripe, MW brand;

TRADED Khaki/Black/Olive, Glen Plaid, Brooks Stretch

I will not be selling anything obtained in this transaction - I will be wearing them M-F -  but I don't care what you do with the pants you would be getting (not that any of them have a real great ebay value).

Let me know.

Everett

edit: if you have a possible offer, I can measure, or even take pictures of any and all pants.

I have these Allen Edmonds Grayson tassel loafers. Black Shell Cordovan - very good except for a couple of scratches (doesn't look like the surface was actually broken) and the fact that the soles will need replacement soon. Still, gorgeous shell, and after a trip to B. Nelson or whichever cobbler you trust, they'll be ready for another lifetime.

Here are a couple of pics, and a link to a photobucket slideshow.

For trades - my sizes are in my sig - I'm interested in brown shoes, but would consider almost anything.
For sale, how about 130 shipped CONUS. International can be 120 plus shipping, but particularly for international, I prefer that you be an established forum member.

TM Lewin L/S shirt. Tagged 15.5” x 33. However, I think it’s more of a 16” at the neck cause that’s what I used to wear. French cuffs. Also, very slim fit as it is 19.5” in the waist area.

Hugo Boss SC. Tagged 44R. Split vented and pretty recent. I think it may be NWOT since it still has those stickers in the content tag.

DM,
I've coveted some of your finds, however, I will need some help with your abbreviations. I don't make it to the SW & D section much uhoh.gif I know RRL and C&J, but what about MM, CP?

this darkmatter7 guy has pure junk, avoid trading with him at all costs!!!

on the real though, you are going to have a tough time finding someone on the thrift B/S thread with that kinda stuff to trade, since you are the only one capabale of thrifting things like that.  Just sell all your stuff on Ebay and use the profit to cop jawnz with the cash.

edit: MMM - Marigiela, CP - Common Projects

My first shell find(!). They are 9.5 D. I only brushed them with my horse brush and buffed them with my shine rag. I remember a post that you have to use some special polish/treatment on these.

I'm not keeping them because 1) a little big for me and 2) not a fan of tassel loafers. However, if they fit, I could make an exception for shell nod[1].gif . The bad: There is the beginning of a separation from outsole one one shoes (see pix). You could shoo goo them or take them to a cobbler and have it done right. The soles have 100 or so miles left and the heels look like they were just replaced. Heels also say Made in Italy.

Still on the lookout for a solid navy blue 40s suit. BB, HF, JPress, older JAB, Southwick, or similar. Would be especially interested if it is a sack suit.
