Feedback on blazer length

Just bought a Harris tweed blazer. It is too wide, but I will take it to the tailor tomorrow. So except the width and a little too long sleves, do I need to shorten anything? I'm not sure if the blazer's length is too long or not, what do you think? Http://imgur.com/xsBVQ.jpg

Maybe too 1970s perhaps? Dig the large lapels and pocket flaps though. Don't know what a tailor could do, that jacket seems huge on you.

That is why I thougth on doing some alliterations. As the shoulder width is not too wide, but is the length really way too long?

The shoulder width is too wide, the jacket is too long. You should have went down a size.

This was 38R, since I'm 5'6 ft high, I need 36S or 36R? Or cold I use both?

36S, almost certainly. Some 36Rs could work, depending on the cut and your body proportions. But 36S is probably your real size.

+1, this applies to most US brands(BB RL)

some european fashion brands may cut their blazer very short, but that varies by style.

the jacket should just be long enough past the butt..and it is too big for your body type.
