I just replaced my Tiffany house-and-key screwball key ring with the more classic (so to speak) Tiffany screwball key ring with the two balls and small, round tag - all in sterling. I believe it may be Tiffany's first style and thus considered the most "classic" Tiffany screwball key ring. The silver tag is engraved, on one side: STERLING TIFFANY & CO. in tiny letters. This inquiry is directed to those who believe you have a sense for the highest echelon of good taste.
How should I handle the tag? First of all, assumably, the engraving should be only on the currrently unmarked side - right? Should I have the engraver add just my last initial, first initial, both initials, or with my middle initial? Or should I leave the tag blank? As far as good taste, or etiquette, what would you suggest?
