Wow... Q3, the gap between P1 and 10 is 3 seconds! This is just the top 10. That's an eternity. It means by lap 30 they'll be lapping the top 10.

Track limits silliness. Again.

It appears that Merc successfully gambled on the radio ban violation. Rosberg would likely have dropped farther than 3rd without the assistance from the pitwall.

Pirelli must come up with some wet tires which allow for standard starts instead of this safety car BS. As Hamilton noted, the 2008 race had a standard start under worse conditions.

Indeed, how utterly ridiculous is it that when the green flag finally emerged, half the field dived in for inters. They ruin the racing with these nanny nanny safety rulings.

Rosberg, he just has no chops in the wet. Verstappen is starting to edge out Ricciardo.

I agree with you guys...the pussy starts are boring and a waste of our time. Who wants to watch endless laps under the safety car at the start!

Rosberg's penalty should have been worse (he only got +10sec.). If 10sec. is all that they get, then they should have told Hamilton how to navigate the menu so that he could solve his car troubles in Baku.

Apparently Rosberg would have had to retire the car without the assistance from the pit wall. I suspect that this is the reason they decided not to appeal the penalty. The appeals court would have heard this and likely just DQd him completely.

Now that teams know the price of violating the rule, I suspect there will be more violations.

I think Nico was fortunate that the FIA waitied till after the race to issue a penalty. I think in some instances (if an instruction is given early enough during a race) the FIA may give a penalty more quickly. Something tells me it would be a drive through. Which is like a 25 second penalty.

Reading the news this morning, seems like there are rumors that Apple is in talks to buyout F1. That would be interesting and I wonder what Apple has in mind. Maybe driverless Apple cars? biggrin.gif
