Maybe its because Im getting older, or maybe its the soap I use, but in the past few months, my skin has been getting very dry, especially on the back of my arms and my back. Its not noticeably dry, I mean you cant see the skin flaking, but its irritating somtimes. Any suggestions?

Good to see you on the board AD. Sorry about the confusion. I have the same problem due to having the heat on in the house for winter. It also comes from using Irish Spring instead of Dial or something with moisturisers in it, because the I.S. gets me cleaner I think, but also strips out the moisture from my skin. When I get dry skin I put Aquaphor on it; it has a seaweed extract that heals your skin from the inside out (according to my grandmother who is a nurse). It's a lot like Vaseline though so you can't put it on under clothes or to bed, I rub it in well and do something with no shirt on for a while. Then wipe it off and use Cetaphil moisturiser overnight and that usually helps a lot. Also I scrub the hell out of the dry skin so I am applying this stuff to the fresh skin underneath and not to the dead top layer. j.
