As for everyone else, thank you for the responses.  I apologize about the quality of the pictures as I did this in a hurry with my iPhone and when I would use the flash it only made things worse.  I am in busy season and working around the clock, I took a quick picture and figured these pictures would do.  I will try to get a better picture up in a day or so.

This is a double vented suit, so hopefully it can be adjusted.  As I mentioned this suit naturally had a hourglass shape to it - my tailor fixed the top and when I was pinned up it looked fine, but once I tried it on the bottom ended up looking strange.

Again, I am truly sorry if I offended anyone with this post, I don't know what got into me asking such a question on a forum like this.

You're welcome for cropping and touching them.

I had the same problem with a Hugo Boss Blazer. After getting it back from the original tailor it looked very similar. It was very trim through the body but it flared out like a bell below the waist. I don't have child bearing hips and I"m sure you don't either. I took the jacket to another tailor who explained the problem. She said that the original tailor brought in the jacket but left too much fabric inside and did not adjust the jacket lining. The extra fabric caused the bottom of the jacket to flair out. I'd suggest you get a second opinion from another tailor.

We joined about the same time and I have no idea what you're talking about. Stop being an ass.

Thanks for the advice Springtown, I think my best bet will be to take it to another tailor.  Any other advice would be appreciated now that I have some decent pictures up.  This way I can explain to a new tailor what I want done.

It looks fine from here, what is important is does it feel right in the critical areas, shoulders, waist, etc.

The new pics almost make the jacket look a size too big by my eye. Where are your shoulders in relation to the seam? Working with this jacket, I would put on your best fitting dress shirt, try the jacket on for the tailor, and explain that you want to see at least 1/4 inch of white shirt cuffat the wrist. Bring the coat in a bit from the upper middle back seam in order to eliminate excess fabric around the shoulders, then explain that a bell shape to this jacket is simply unacceptable. Trim the sides all the way down and make sure to take in the jacket lining as well.

Some HB suit jackets run a little long, I had mine tailored to fit me.

+1. Make sure your dress shirt cuffs are the right length first. The cuffs on the shirt you were wearing in Page 1 were too loose, and thus, too long.

Shoulders are too big.

Are you going to a real tailor (makes bespoke suits) or to an alterations place (also does your drycleaning). I have a feeling from the pant length it is the second.

A "real" tailor is going to be expensive to fix that (about half the price that you paid for the suit). I use Centofani in Philly as he is one of the best around. However it does cost a pretty penny. He makes my jackets fit amazingly. He even lenghtened the shoulders on a TF jacket.

A good tailor will be able to fix you up. Oh, and tell them "little to no break".

The jacket feels like it fits, looked a little big from the front when I purchased it, however, when I had the jacket pinned up it looked perfect.  I took it to my local tailor who takes care of my jeans, slacks and other common stuff.  He always does great work and I have a relationship with him so I figured I would give him a try.  I think this may be a little out of his scope, I am going to try and find a highly recommended tailor in my area.  Anyone know of one on Long Island, the Huntington area?

Sad to see a good suit get ruined..well not exactly ruined..but the tailor did a poor job with it.

Indeed, I think your tailor is almost as big a cunt as GBR.

Hey, ignore GBR. man seems to vent at everybody so don't worry. Sad man.

As to the advice so far, some ok, but don't understand pointing out the cause with out solutions. Here is what I would do from your photos. Could be better pics of course but is not that hard to see issues.

By the way I am a bespoke tailor in London so my suggestions are maybe more European than American fit.

1. Ask tailors to take in jacket seat 2" max. 1" would imprve but still havsme flair. This will get rid of the hipster skirt. Your tailor had as suggested just taken in at waist and not all the way down. Simple fix with good tailor.

2. Shorten trouser legs 3/4". Needs it.

3. Please get some tailored shirts. Cuffs are a little large and so fall half way down your fist instead of stopping after the wrist.

Let me know result.
