Isaia make some of the finest shirts in the world. Tremendous amount of hand work.
These shirts are made for the European market, thus they fit considerably slimmer than the ones made for the American market.
Some information about the shirts copied from the small booklet which comes with the shirts.
THE ARMHOLE:
Hand basting and felling are used to attach the sleeve to the body of the shirt, giving the garment the kind of wearability typical of handmade clothing.
THE SLEEVE GAUNTLET:
The sleeve gauntlet, a reinforcement that prevents the flap of the sleeve from tearing, is an "old world" detail that protects one of the most delicate parts of the garment and makes it durable.
THE TRIANGLE:
The front and back of the shirt are firmly held in place by a small reinforcement known as a triangle, which is also hand-made.
THE BUTTONS AND THE BUTTONHOLES:
[Thick] mother of pearl buttons and buttonholes sewn on by hand are details that create an even finer product.
