is there a series of shoe known for great gym trainers?

like for example nike shox or adidas superstar??? currently using running shoes for the gym so i thought i'd get a pair more specifically for my activity. i'd also prefer them in black..

if you're lifting, a shoe with a flat, non-compressible sole is the one you want (nike frees maybe, chuck taylors etc.). If you're doing OL then you need actual weightlifting shoes.

running shoes with a compressible sole and lots of pronation support and what have you are the worst.

thanks for the tip on the nike frees. i'll probably pick up an extra pair as well.
