He likes to make up his mind, unshakably - I presume, that makes Fritzl a cousin of Jenny:

There once was a girl named Jenny
Whose virtues were varied and many—
Excepting that she was inclined
Always to make up her mind;

Jenny and her saga
Prove that you are gaga
If you don't keep sitting on the fence.

Don't make up—You shouldn't make up—
You mustn't make up—Oh, never make up—
Anyone with vision
Comes to this decision—
Don't make up your mind!

metal plate can be add with any contsruction,
but be very careful,
it can ruin certain shoe.
Avoid with goodyear construction because the plate nail can break the chain stitch used to attach welt,
once welt stitch is broken many many cobbler can not fix it and shoe is ruin.
Also avoid shoe made with older blake machine,
avoid the fairstitch and blake construction that is stitched with old machine because it not lock stitch like the new blake machines.
Also avoid using plate for veldtschoen construction.
