Benson & Harvey shoes - Any info?

Has anyone owned a pair of vintage Benson & Harvey shoes? Been trying to find some info on them and there doesn't seem to be a lot out there. I think they're from the 60's-70's from the looks of them..

I just uncovered an old shoe box that has BENSON & HARVEY  BY STATUS  labelled on the end.

The store's hand written price ticket includes the numbers 06/79. (Maybe the date?)

The label is also stamped Made in Czechoslovakia.  It also includes style number of the shoes, size and width and the price the store sold it for: $42.95.  Most likely Canadian dollars

 

I have no knowledge of this brand/shoe but went online to check it out.  Saw your post so I thought I would pass this on to you.

Thanks for the update.. I've seen a few pairs in the past, they seemed fairly well made considering where they came from. You certainly don't see too many out there these days.
