Today I thought about buying the new Phillip Glass Symphony No9 seeing its an itunes exclusive and the CD wont be available for months. I clicked the link $9.99 and went to purchase it and found it was the USA store and was told I can't buy it. $9.99 US is currently $9.34 Australian.
So I go to the Australian site and find they want $16.99 for it WTF. I used to buy imported vinyl back in the days and it used to be about a $1 more expensive than the local release but this is effing absurd. Is there somehow a greater cost to the rest of the world to buy a digital download as determined by Apple or is the rest of the world again subsidising US consumers.
And it does not stop there US magazines are more expensive in digital download format globally than what they are in the US and why for fucks sake? (Ok had my rant)
What do others think about this?
