Sorry, you misinterpreted my comment as somehow being snarky; I didn't mean to imply I bought it at full retail price, but rather that I bought it in a retail establishment. The OP requested comments regarding the tie's authenticity, and I simply referenced where I purchased the same exact tie to demonstrate that a tie I know to be authentic (given where it was purchased), exhibits the exact same characteristics. Had I said, 'I bought the same tie from a guy on the street in Chinatown and it exhibits the same exact characteristics,' the authenticity issue wouldn't be completely resolved, now would it? So, does that satisfy your request for the 'why?'
