I don't think it's American Trad, because I don't think such a thing exists, and I was sort of alluding to the jokes that LA Guy was making about the obsession on AskAndy with "American Trad." I think that because your look isn't "citified" in that picture (for example, the lines, colors, and fabrics are soft -- decidedly not "Armani"), someone might mistakenly refer to that as American Trad. I think when people talk about American Trad, they are sort of apologists for ill-fitting suits, button-down collars being worn inappropriately (patterned buttondown with suits = fine in my book; broadcloth white button down with suit = why?) and boring/nonexistent patterns/colors. I'm not sure how I'd characterize your look in that picture, other than I really, really like it. The totality of the look strikes me as probably up-country Italian, but the tie is decidedly old-school British IMO. Very nice indeed.
