February 1, 2012: Has Ebay been Hacked/Attacked today?!

Cannot sign into Ebay at all. It even says my account does not exist anymore. I called Ebay and after a 25 minute wait (it is usually 30 seconds) they said there is an "issue" and they are "taking care of it, but not to worry," my account will be fine in "24 hours!" Does anybody know what is really going on here? The lady I talked to was very, very hesitant to say anything at all. It all seems very suspicious to me, like they have been hacked and some personal information could be at risk? Inquiring minds want to know!

She did say not ALL accounts are affected, but "many" are and that it is Seller accounts that are affected. If you try and look for/at an item by an affected Seller you will get this error message: "Sorry, this page is not available at this time."

Shit! Someone hacked my account and started selling all kinds of crazy Versace shit! WTF!

It was really messed up earlier tonight. I couldn't login. I got bumped to a page that said "account does not exist." And my auction seemed to disappear.

But now it's all back to normal. I better not have lost any bidders because of that crap.censored.gif
