So I want to get myself a nice bag and I have been drooling over saddleback's stuff for a few years and I finally have the coin for it.
However, I am torn between the classic and the slim briefcases. I think the slim is a better size work a lot of walking or general NYC existence, but it is a little too thin. I want to be able to stuff some gear in there if I have or want to. I generally carry my lunch in with me every day and hate having to carry a lunch bag to I put it in my current bag (Currently this kinda fugly bag). I also have a DSLR which I sometimes take with me. Also I think the general styling of the slim is a little too business-y, and since I am in the IT field I would rather not over-do it there.
If I got either it would be the large. That is one inch less wide then my current bag which is fine, and the height is the same. The depth is what kinda gets me. SB lists 9", that is pretty deep. Does that tend to accordian at all when it isn't 100% packed?
Then there is the color. I like the dark brown (I have a wallet in it so I know what it looks like), but I think that might be a bit bland for a whole band and the chestnut would be better. It would also match my Redwings.
Below Is a general pic of my stature to give you an Idea, I am 5' 10"
Thanks!
