Help with V-neck sweater (Express, J. Crew, etc)

I am looking for a nice v-neck sweater. I walt'z over to my local J. Crew and Express yesterday and tried on their selections. I tried on this Express sweater (http://bit.ly/yuuTPs) and this J. Crew sweater (http://bit.ly/ysXg2D).

For context, I am 5'10", 38" chest, 32" waist, ~31.5" sleeves (t-rex arms so I'm cool with getting anything shortened). THANK YOU for any feedback on which one is best, color, etc, or whether there is something better out there. I am brand new to not dressing like an idiot and am clueless about what looks good.

I'm 5'9", 37" chest, 31" waist and I get Medium slim sweaters from Jcrew online.
