What is the context here? Any before pictures? What is the hand drawing of? Ever think about swapping location of the couch and bed - it seems a shame to use the majority of floor space to make a "bedroom."

So our builder had told us that we'd have archways on the main floor Where there weren't doors. Went to the site yesterday and saw them squared off so asked what was up. Manager apologized and said she made a mistake, that the plans call for trimmed, cased openings. Not sure which I really prefer. Thoughts?

Second the thought of swapping the couch and bed. Also makes the living space more amenable to having guests.

The downside to swapping the bed and couch is it leaves the bed right by the door.  It just feels weird to me, but the practicality makes sense.

Have someone coming to the house on Saturday. Getting a price on those three doors I want (two steel, decorative screen doors and one standard entry door to our guest house.) If I get out under 5k I'll be surprised.

This is obviously the before. The hand drawing was a concept that I shopped around for a Murphy bed, bookshelves, and entertainment center built as one.

I'll post more pics when I get home from work.
