We have a large soaking tub. Neither my wife or I hardly ever use it, but when we do, it is very nice. I can say the same for our hot tub.

Sadly, showers are not so tolerant towards cigars or drinks..

Hard liquor and cigar while in a hot bath reading a book? This is certainly a fantasy I don't follow. Makes me slightly lightheaded just to think of this.

I'm all for reading and drinking while taking a bath, but how do you keep the book from getting wet? Dont know about cigars in the bath - what with all the cigar smoke...

Im ok to just do all that in a lounge chair.

I enjoy our soaking tub but it's sort of a bother. About twice a winter I'll use it. Open the windows so the room is cool, candles (not scented), chill music, bottle of wine. Usually in the early evening so I can listen to the coyotes howl through the open windows. Pretty damn mellow when you climb out.

Sounds very Wild wild west. Do you have your six-shooter near by?icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

P.S. I cannot compete with the above ,but I once swam in the Bellagio LV pool with a cigarette in my mouth.

What do you all do to kill backyard mosquito? Are you spraying the yard or just spraying yourself and using mosquito-irritant products? I live off the rio grand and it's monsoon/corn season, little buggers are everywhere. I just don't my family catching any disease they devil span carry. I'm using non-deet spray and some candles but this doesn't work too well when I'm jogging to working out in the backyard.

I think Turk posted a few pages back about putting a bunch of DEET down.

Not deet, bifenthrin. You spray it on your grass, bushes, rocks, etc. -- shaded places mosquitos hang out during the day. It kills them when they rest or try to feed (mosquitos are mostly vegetarians). It really does work and it's quite cheap ($35 for 3/4 gallon concentrate, which makes almost 100 gallons of spray).

Get a good sprayer; I use about 6 gallons to spray around my house every couple weeks (but it's a fairly large house with a lot of vegetation). The spray lasts longer in places where it doesn't rain so much.

Plant a walnut tree, it worked at our old house. Near the seating area you would hardly ever get stung, a 100m further near the tea house would be a definite no go near sundown however. There wasn't one there.

Apparently this it was standard practice to plant one near a seating area a 100 years ago, a practice that now seems to be lost..

If you oil pull for 20 minutes a day, no more no less, mosquitoes will never bother you again.

So, I completed my downstairs stairwell renovation about a year or two ago (i've lost track), in the next project or coming projects I plan to start renovating my upstairs staircase. Starting with the railing and in the planning stages at this point.
