shoe brands that are durable and fashion forward?

a quick search didn't yield much, it seems after browsing here for a while the notion is that Italian brands seem to be more fashion forward but less durable, English and American brands more durable but perhaps more traditionally styled, what are some brands that encompasses both qualities?

Barker Black. English, so traditional influences, but definitely sleek and fashion forward (the skulls and crossbones and all). Although at retail, you can definitely get higher quality for the same or even less.

Trazmezza's are well made. The lasts don't get much praise around here though. Could last 10 years with resoling

I have several pairs of Tramezzas that I bought shortly after joining the forum. They are showing a little wear around the edges, but are generally still going strong and get regular use (at least once a week, frequently 2-3 wearings a week). They'll soon be 7 years old and have required nothing more than occasional polishing and replacement of the heel lift(s). Their styling really isn't outrageous, either. They could be confused for English shoes by someone who didn't look closely.
