This is good advice. If he wears dress clothes fairly regularly, for example, buying something from one or more SF sellers that is within your budget in his size(s) may work. Or casual clothes from someone on SW and D. One would hope, though, that a SO concerned enough about a present for him to post this question here would be present enough.

You could give him some Cologne or a watch. < Which I think is good for more or less a year long relation

something more meaningful would be...

a bracket or necklace (if he wears jewelry) (like stainless steel, which looks good, isn't too expensive)
