Did Gilt sell me counterfeit 7 for all mankind?

Hi SF, my first post, too bad it has to be asking for help, but here goes.

I ordered a pair of 7 for All Mankind jeans off Gilt last week, and they arrived today. When I tried them on, I found this in the front left pocket:

After a WTF moment, I started looking into whether these were real 7s, and went to their website for more information on counterfeit 7s:

http://www.7forallmankind.com/counterfeit.html

I also used an ebay guide to evaluate these jeans:

Here are the photos of my jeans:

One, my tags are NOT as described on the 7FAMK website, nor are they as shown/described on the ebay guide.

Two, there is no tag on the back of them, like there should be. The sizing label window would show this (photo 3). I've checked underneath, and there is nothing there, either.

If you read part 2 of the ebay guide about the printing of the inner sticker label (photo 2), you'll see a telltale sign is the numbers on this sticker. The zeros should have a line thru them, which mine do not, and the 9s should have a straight descent, while mine have a curved descent.

Am I crazy, or did gilt.com sell me counterfeit 7FAKMs?

To answer your question, yeah they look fake to me.

Now my question. Why the hell did you buy 7 jeans?

99.9% of the people here dislike the brand so I wouldn't expect too much help.

You should call Gilt up directly and tell them what you typed here. I'm not familiar with the brand, but I suspect that the model you bought was made up of poorer quality just for Gilt (common practice). Or someone returned the jeans and left the bubble gum wrapper in the back pocket.

The guide you linked to is from 2005, so the tags pictured there bear no relation to what you should be looking for today.

Based on the obvious shoddy craftsmanship I have observed in counterfeit jeans, your photos suggest this pair is genuine, not fake.

The wrapper is likely due to a return.

Check crotch to make sure someone else's bubblegum isn't in there

Amazing first post. If only you had researched this site as well as you researched how to ID fake 7 jeans

Fake or not, someone wore them for at least a whole day (probably more like a week), and returned them. Gilt...
