Brown suits.

Hi all,

What are your thoughts on brown suits? I really want one but I fear the color will clash with most of my shoes since they're also brown. I have a beige suit already which I feel is a nice change from the gray and blue suits. Those who own numerous suits, what colors and patterns do you have? I have the staple colors already and want to try something different.

I have two and a blazer.

I have 3 brown suits and a brown cord sport coat. They look best with dark brown shoes.

Seriously though, dark brown works. Navy might work as well (never tried navy shoes with brown though).

I have a nice dark brown suit from Brooks Bros... it has the shadow herringbone pattern which is very subtle - it's actually a really nice suit and goes well with a lot of traditional shirt colors (white, pink, lavender, light blue, etc) and I usually wear it with black shoes.
