For Sale:
48R Hackett Morning Coat and Trousers with six free stiff collars reduced to $430

Will Ship To: Anywhere

PRICE DROP to $399. For sale is a Hackett morning coat, and trousers, plus six Luke Eyers "Cameron" detachable collars size 19". See pics and detailed description below. I bought these for myself about two years ago and have worn them only once. The coat was brand new and the trousers were second hand. Current retail for the coat is £450, trousers are £200 in total £650 which is $1,043 excluding the collars which I will include for free. I am looking for US$399. Please PM me if you have any questions. I had the sleeves on the coat taken up by about 3/4”. This was done in-house by Hackett. Also the waist of the trousers was let out.

I would consider partial or full exchanges for a combination of the following (depending on the value that we agree on for the items) C&J Weymouth or Westbourne in brown size 10UK, Hackett or Cordings tweed jackets Size 40R (Cordings) or 42R (Hackett-as they are a slimmer fit), or other high quality jackets in 40R’ish. Would consider other shoes perhaps Lobb, EG, maybe G&G.

Morning Coat:

Black herringbone 100% wool. Single button to front. Two buttons to back. Four small black buttons on each cuff, with functioning buttonholes. Lapel button hole with double flower stem loop. One external breast pocket. Two inside breast pockets and two glove pockets inside the tails. In overall excellent condition. Tagged as a 48R. Actual measurements are: Chest 50", and 47" at the waist. Length at rear from collar to bottom of tails 43". Length of sleeve from shoulder to centre of cuff is 25" with about another 1” available to be let down. It measures 19 ¾” across the shoulders

Trousers:

Traditional black/silver “cashmere” stripe morning trousers in 100% wool. Two reverse pleats to the front. These are cut for braces (suspenders) with buttons in the inside of the waist band front and rear. There are also side adjustment tabs on both sides. There are two side pockets, and one rear hip pocket. Button fastening fly. Waist is 42" with only about 1/4 “ available to let out. Inside leg is 30 ½ " with a further 1¼” available in the hem. Outside leg is 41” not including the waistband. The legs measure 11 ½” at the knee and 8 ½ ” at the hem. There is a small tear in the inside of the right trouser leg at the hem about ¼ “long (see image). This is as a result of an unfortunate collision with a stiletto heel!

Waistcoat: no longer for sale

Collars: six Luke Eyres Cameron collars. Five are NIB. One is used but has been professionally laundered and restarched.

Buy them any way. You can always just walk around the house wearing them. No-one will mind-honestly.

An excellent point that I can't refute. As a 40L, though, my frame wouldn't do it justice. Full disclosure: I have invested in and wear a tux because I felt I ought to start attending occasions that call for one. Kind of wardrobe reverse engineering. It works!

As for this elegant rig, I encourage anyone within the range of a 46R to consider how it would improve quality of life all round, wearing it in--and outside-- the house.
