Oh dear - GQ's 50 Best-Dressed men 2011...

Out of the 18 or so pictured, only the three Royals and Daniel Craig seem to understand fit and silhouette. Prince Charles is a much better dresser than any of the rest.

Confirms that GQ doesn't care about classic dress--genuine dandyism--any more, and is ever more ignorant of it. They follow the foppish winds of celebrity fashion because that's what advertisers pay them to do.

This doesn't bother me all that much. What does annoy me is people who set themselves up as writers on clothes and yet can't describe them accurately: witness the recent post in the NYT Style Magazine on double breasted suits at the Milan fashion show. The writer did not accurately describe the clothes pictured in the post. I fear that GQ is heading in that direction.

English royals are inbred looking celebrities who usually wear awful trousers (here Charles took the bold decision to cross dress and wore a skirt-what a fashionista!-), they don't belong on any best dressed list outside of the famous "Fuuma's top 50 best dressed balding inbred morons with bad teeth" where they get top spots. These lists are a joke anyway so who cares, dressing isn't a competition. I'm just glad they included Balotelli cause he's such a likeable fucktard his behaviour is borderline genius.

F Corbera has a similar style to Vox but far superior, IMHO. I think Vox just DTOs him. marchal.gif

Is this the British version of GQ? Maybe that's why this list seems a little odd to most of us.

My first thought was, "where is Ryan Gosling."

Then I thought, "who the heck are half of these people."

Then I realized it's a UK list.
