I haven't seen any sharkskin items at all around here, but they sure are delicious - they sell them at just about every single fish and chip shop around. The meat goes by the name of 'flake'. Speaking of delicious, so is whale.

Crocogators are hardly threatened species either. Over here, Crocs roam the streets and eat a few people every year.

My understanding is that most who hunt shark for fins merely cut the fins off and cast the carcasses back in the water. To me, that is indefensible. People do use the whole fish for the flesh. In that case, why not use the skin?

As stated, delicious. Quite rich, with several different types of meat and flavor within it.
