Everlane T-shirts - Page 206

Just got the two poplin shirts I ordered, mediterranean and light blue. The fit is slightly tighter than the oxford. The fabric is light and soft, but even the light blue one is not a see through.

P.S. I'm 6 fee tall, 38 chest and small fits nicely.

Got my first Everlane order last night.

Threw on the Merlot french terry crew immediately and I love it. seriously great sweatshirt. Perfect weight and just different enough that it is interesting but not too different so as to be awkward. Has anyone tried to scrape off the screened tag and cut off the washing instructions to wear it inside out? I'd like to see a reverse-reverse french terry sweatshirt (ie. just a regular sweatshirt) in heather grey. I would insta-cop that.

Tee feels decent on first wearing, I picked up the Navy crew, no pocket. I like the colour and the fabric feels nice. I will reserve final judgement for when I wash it.

I was very surprised at how un-slim the cut of everything was. I wouldn't say either the sweatshirt or the tee are slim at all. not super baggy, but not the slimmest tee or sweatshirt I own by a long shot. Maybe they shrink? Is the fit on oxfords similar to the fit on tees/sweats?

I'm kind of disappointed with the switch buckle belt, the leather is quite flimsy. It feels like they just poked some holes in left over straps for the weekender. Soft leather might make nice handles, but I'm worried about it holding up as a belt. The hardware is the nicest thing about it. I'll use the buckle with other belts, but I doubt that the belt will last a year. I feel like it has stretched significantly with about a day of wear.

oh also, size down on the belt, I ordered the M and it is longer than some of my 36" belts, so I guess it is suitable if you wear a sized 34" pant rather than wear a size 34" belt.

Otherwise, I am super satisfied with the order process and delivery to Canada! I'm in the GTA and it took just over a week to get here, super fast!

^^ i have the merlot french terry as well and love it, i also wish they would do a reverse-reverse....not like it'd be hard for them, just print the label on the other side.

I'm curious... has anyone actually bought their $40 towel?

After my great experience with the oxford shirt and the backpack, I feel that Everlane has strayed somewhat from their vision. Starting with the $40 polo, which doesn't sound so bad until you get them (a nice shirt but excessive detailing; you can easily do better), then the women $105 sandals, and now $40 towel. Unless someone has got them and really thinks they're worth $40 or even $20, I'm not buying the direction Everlane is going. It looks less like 'affordable luxury' and more like 'luxury affordables' now.

got my PK shirt and the fitment was pretty spot on.  Decided to wash one to see if shrinkage would affect anything.  Didnt shrink too much but now it has something going on near the most bottom button.  There seems to be extra material causing the shirt to crease at the button.  Anyone have this issue?

Their tees although very soft are very thin, which is probably why they get holes so easily. The fabric on the ocbds are also just a bit thin for my liking. Which is why I haven't shopped here for a while..but I hope that will change:D

Hey appreciate the feedback, we choose the weights of our fabrics very carefully - it's always a balancing act between hand-feel and durability. We are playing with different leathers for the weekender handles, I think what we have now strikes a good balance without being too rugged. On our weekender we use 3mm full grain leather. As for our tees we tested it with a variety of people and they preferred the softness and lightness.

If you have holes in your shirts let me know and I’ll get replacements out to you. PM me.

We’re restocking the reverse denim one in August. We don't have any plans for other colors or styles.

Thanks!

If you're an XS in Uniqlo, you're most likely an XS with us.

Overall, it looks like Everlane is producing great stuff. Nice job thenanyu!

We don't have any plans to bring back ties and bows for the time being. There are a lot of great tie manufacturers out there and we would rather play to our strengths than compete with other folks who are really doing a great job.

Send me a PM with your account info. I'd be happy to send out a replacement.

No Merlot for this restock. We'll have a slightly different merlot for September. The fall release should also feature improved collars and hems that our team is still working on.

we don't care about towels

i remember some time ago they were talking about producing "common projectsesque" shoes but that's something that has probably went to the wayside at this point
post #3086 of 3374

That's really unfortunate... I'd rather Everlane did something like that instead of poplin shirts and towels. Last year when I first knew about Everlane and took a look at their cashmere, oxford, and weekender, I thought they were on to something. Leather shoes, sport coats, selvage denim, and all that jazz. Not poplin shirts and towels.

^^Sounds like people were expecting a high-quality, online Uniqlo from those descriptions. But I agree about the towels - they seemed really out of place (and are pretty ugly too...)

Also, why no shorts?

So are there any plans to redesign the U Necks in the near future? I really want one but I am put off by the poor reviews its gotten so far.
