I mostly wear button-front shirts when I occasionally travel for business or have to work from the office (I usually work from home), and I usually need to cart around an ID card. Other than that, hotel room key (protected from death by cell phone), sunglasses, tickets, the occasional receipt. Probably not all at once. Dunno, just a lot of utility to having a breast pocket.

Agreed that dress shirts tend to look off with a front pocket.

How would a cell phone kill a hotel key card?

So I just received my second Everlane order (a rhum belt and a slate tee shirt).  I love the tee shirt but didn't realize the belts were so thin (1") :( I've been reading this thread pretty religiously for a while now and am really excited for the Cashmere and OCBD's but just went back a bunch of pages and read that they were planning on releasing thicker belts...is this still in the works or was it scrapped? I was planning on ordering a few different colors but now that I have one I don't think I'd want more in this same width.

 

Also still waiting for the grey snap backpack to come back in stock.

Anyone know what colours the ocbd will be offered in?

Doesn't always happen, but my understanding is that it has something to do with magnets (how the fuck do they work?)

yeah, guess that with some older models the phone could de-magnetize the "code" in the key card
but it's probably similar to the "fact" that you can put 3 phones in a triangle (5-10 cm distance between eachother), put some unpopped popcorns in the middle, call all three cellphones, and the corn would pop, sure it could work, but not with most cellphones, only with a few old models that aren't produced anymore

I've never had an issue with magnetized cards and my mobile phone. My money clip on the other hand is another issue.

Slate is back up for pre-order (delivers next week) and early fall colors are up now.



I think they will come back at the very beginning of October. We are waiting for a weekender shipment and dropping a restock bonaza.
