Everlane T-shirts - Page 128

just got my new shipment of everlane in. very impressed, the shirts feel so much better than the first wave v necks i ordered. heard some complaints about the cotton earlier, but i'm very impressed... super soft. fit and cut are actually a little roomier and longer now. hope they stay like this because right now they are the perfect shirt. after all my past complaints, i'd almost say they are as good as sunspel.

I agree the new shipment is better!  I was between M and L and prefer shirts to fit snug so I ordered M. They're a just a little wider now, the M fits perfectly is long enough for my 6'1 frame.  I've rolled the sleeve and sewn them in two spots they stay like this and aren't unrolling themselves constantly

Anyone else notice some stitching unraveling on their shirts too? My white vneck has close to an inch of the stitching unraveled in the back. I was being careless as I was in a rush to go to work and accidentally nicked a small hole in the shirt when I went to cut the loose threads. frown.gif

yeah I no longer wear my white shirts because of the collar, they look like a worn out undershirt now and I didn't even wear them that much. I have a white j.crew shirt that is looking much better than my white everlane. frown.gif

yeah, not really understanding that either. but maybe he is on some next level type shizzz, the whole buy once wear once thing. I know a few people that get rid of their clothes as the season changes.

no but i got the white pocket tee and its probably my favorite of the bunch

honestly don't mind the collar stretching out of shape, if you want a good white tee that has a good collar try the AA loose summer crew.

Yeah man, going to have to back others up on this - a dozen uses would not meet my money's worth.

Unless you are an extreme backpacker, however, maybe you got a faulty unit? I've used mine pretty consistently since January (with many compliments collected along the way, with some additional "such a hipster" jokes from friends) and don't baby it at all (really digging the patina that's setting in), and haven't noticed any issues with wear and tear. Everything has held up fine, and I make pretty frequent use of the sleeve.

Hey guys, sorry about any backpack issues you are having. I realize how frustrating it must be for something to break, or not manage to perform a critical function. We are confident in our products, but defects do happen - we log and systematically review every issue reported, so I will get the message out.

deveandepot1, I assure you that you did not get your money's worth in this case and that is our bad.

I am happy to provide you guys a replacement with a new-generation backpack - PM me your account emails and I will get you set up.

We have added improvements to the shirt on every batch based on feedback from customers, issue reports, and our own testing. One of the complaints we got on occasion was the neck stitching breaking, so we changed the way the collar was sewn and added a reinforcement stich. CalTex, I can take care of it over PM.

On the subject of fall releases, here's what we got in the pipeline.

Oxford cloth button-downs

I just saw the samples and I am super excited about them. All the details are right, and the cut is spot-on. It's not darted, but it has a nice taper at the waist, and sizing should run one-to-one with our t-shirts. We were only able to do a limited run, so we are even limiting employee purchases on this one. Drop should be in mid-October

Fall Tees

The fall color palette is coming together and we'll have a restock of classic colors and introduce fall colors at the end of the month.

Cashmere

Been testing the samples out, these will be a fantastic value. We have Crew, V-neck and Cardigans. The cardigan will be especially nice, it's got a deeper button stance, and pockets, something you see being left out a lot to cut costs.

Bags

We have a backpack restock coming up and new weekender colors to go with the fall palette.

One last thing, for your GFs, sisters, mothers, etc. (and for the few lady members of the forum)

Silk Blouses

We showed them to press and buyers from large boutiques and all of them basically shit a brick when they found out we were selling them for under 100. It's super high quality silk, laser engraved MoP buttons, hidden placket, club collar. Blouses coming out of the factory we use usually retail for around 250.

nice to hear about the new shirts being lengthened. when I proxied a couple pocket tees a while ago the only issue i had with them was they were very short, an inch or two shorter than most of my other small tees.

The fall colour tees have got me anxiously awaiting Canada shipping. For whatever reason I imagine one of the fall colours will be a deep red. will have to just wait and see.

Just out of curiosity---

The last time I bought tees from Everlane was at the tail end of June. They were actually a bit shorter and more snug than the previous batch I bought, which was way back in February.

So since June they've increased in length and become roomier?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
I suppose I could just buy some more and find out for myself!

So...I'm wearing my blue Everlane tee for the third time and there's a hole in it towards the bottom. I've never had a shirt develop a hole so I'm a little surprised. I've washed it twice and lightly dried it once before hang drying it because I was scared it would shrink. I love the fit and feel of the shirt, but I'm a little wary of the hole.

It's a new feature, increases breathability by 17%.
