Pleasant surprise for my saturday morning.

Just made my first everlane purchase. One regular and one watercolor tee for me, one for the girl, and a tote for a gift. Hoping it will all arrive in the mail soon. Are there no confirmation emails?

 

Also, since I only just now found this thread, is the offer at the top of the thread for a little extra something for SF members still open?

 

Edit : I mean shipping confirmation/tracking info emails. I see the order has shipped on the order page of their website, but have only the "your order has been placed" email.

Aww, I guess they couldn't do the waterproof lining in the gingham style of the old ones. That's unfortunate, that added some extra swag to the backpacks.

No kidding. His reasoning was that it was Mr. Porter so it was free shipping both ways, and I could just return it if he backed out. Dude...

I don't believe I'm the only one, but waiting for t's to arrive that I ordered almost a month ago is kind of frustrating.

Yeah, I'm not really feelin' the blue lining on the new packs. The gingham looked sweet on the old ones; I'd rather have the gingham and no water-proofing than the blue lining on the new design. Meh, oh well, not a huge deal.

Also, I hope the padding for the laptop sleeve isn't so thick that it makes the whole backpack rigid and lifeless. I'll have to wait 'til mine arrives and see for myself, but if that's the case, I'd have preferred no padding at all, like the previous run.

you have a lap top in there, I'm sure the padded sleeve is more flexible than a laptop

Guess I should have mentioned that I hardly ever carry a laptop in my backpack.

This doesn't look very good.

There's a difference between the contents of the backpack being stiff/rigid (and yes, duh, books or whatever of course will be) and the backpack itself having a stiff nature due to padding. The backpack I have used throughout college has a laptop sleeve, and the entire portion that rests against the back is padded and somewhat stiff. This results in an awkward rigidity and boxiness to the backpack, especially when using it with only one or two books inside. Kinda hard to describe, but I'm sure some will understand what I'm talking about. Anyway, I'll withhold further comment on the matter until I can check out the Everlane backpack myself.

Yeah. That color looks a little odd. Is it really as satin blue as the photo makes it seem?
