Thoughts on Underwear

Hi all, I'm a new user from the UK and thought I'd jump straight in with a question: do you give much thought to your underwear?

Long story short: I was in a very important business meeting test driving a Gucci suit I bought of Mr Porter and subsequently had taken in slightly to give it a better fit. I don't wear briefs, usually sticking to boxer trunks for comfort - but when I sat down after a couple of minutes I was anything but comfortable.

Is underwear something anyone else here seriously considers when putting together an outfit?

I was wearing EA Boxer Trunks, with the thought process being that tight would not lead to them riding up. I found this topic which is on a somewhat related subject - good to see Sunspel getting a bit of love, however I find loose boxers to be really uncomfortable.

I understand what you mean, especially if the suit trousers are tighter or you have a huge arse. From my own personal experience, when wearing boxer trunks I don't have this problem as I have quite a muscular rear and the leg openings of the boxers don't show because they sit in a sort of bermuda triangle of safety. I had to exaggerate to better illustrate my point! Drawing on MS Paint is hard. I tried to find a guide on what to wear with what, and although it doesn't cover suits this mens underwear guide is probably the best that I came across.

I think blahman was talking about wearing loose boxers with tight suit trousers... I think?
